Hotel Monte Real, Lima

The hotel is nestled in a beautiful area with close proximity to nice restaurants and cafes. The rooms are okay, cleaned daily, though featuring some drawbacks like a stained carpet and an AC unit that blew hot air. The service from the staff varies, with some being amazing and attentive while others were not as helpful. The location is ideal for walking around and exploring, though the Wi-Fi connection can be unreliable in certain areas. The dining experience could be improved with more variety and better quality. However, the hotel offers a good deal with a taxi firm for airport transfers.

The hotel's location couldn't be better, close to the main shopping center along the waterfront and the promenade walk, offering easy access to shops, bars, and restaurants. While the service varied from competent during the day to friendly with little knowledge, some aspects like room and bathroom cleanliness could be improved. The dining experience had a good variety but was insufficient. The rooms, albeit spacious with a nice view, were plagued by a musty smell that was attempted to be masked with air fresheners, which was quite unpleasant.

While the price was included in my tour package, I wouldn't pay more than $100 for a single or twin room. Unfortunately, the wifi only worked for an hour during my stay.
